Childville Pre School is an Educational establishment offering early childhood education to children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. Childville Preschool @ Gascoigne is registered with Ofsted and started operating in January 2010. It is one of the four settings operated within London Borough of Barking and Dagenham by Childville After-School Services LTD, a private limited company. Childville Preschool @ Gascoigne is based in Gascoigne Community & Youth Centre, St Anns, which is in a residential area. Our setting provides safe, welcoming and fun environment for children where they enjoy different range of activities which help them in their learning and development. Children in our setting have access to a rich learning environment which provides them with the opportunities and conditions in which to flourish in all aspects of their development. We provide balance across the areas of learning and we respect each child as an individual and value their efforts, interests and purposes. As we are based in a community centre we work in partnership with the community centre as well as the children centre and our children as a result have access to the children centre secured communal garden behind our building and also to the state of the art sensory room.
We ensure that Ofsted statutory requirements are met at all times by maintaining staff : children ratio, which is 1:4 for the 2 to 3 year olds and 1:8 for the 3 to 5 year olds.
We work in partnership with parents/carers and London Borough of Barking & Dagenham advisory teachers to build up on providing joint support to help the development of the children in our care. Majority of staff on our setting are at least qualified to level 3 qualification in childcare or working towards and they all attend regular trainings to improve the quality of their work, knowledge and experience.
